Merry Purple

Some more "I really need quick Christmas cards) once again I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Snowflakes and their Merry and Bright die. This time in purple.

I even used the waste, well this way you can see the stitched marks.

Even more left over waste this time I didn't even bother to add the snowflakes inside but used some gems instead.
Lucky for me I didn't have to make a boys card, my DD had sneaked some of my boys cards away and offered me one. Just has well I did ache quite a bit. So I've now connected all the crochet squares and written the Christmas Cards that have to be posted aboard. Its a bit obvious that I need more cards.

Scrapbooking

Yesterday I managed to finish Hubby's 60th book but I haven't photographed them yet but I haven't shown these ones they were already in the camera.

I had a great day at the crop yesterday although my body is telling me off today. I even managed a couple of layouts as well. My bag still needs to be unpacked and the very important card has to be made today.

Baby Christmas

I've kinda cheated for my Penny Black card today mainly because I haven't made one but I did have this cutie in my drafts. While she is a Mo digi image called Bearly Merry Christmas she is also a Penny Black stamp and I know I'm referring to her as a her she could easily be a he!

The papers are some I brought at the crop I go to each month, there's also a shop well. I also used a Craftwork Card printed sentiment. My Favourite Things crochet border not sure if its still available but I did buy two because its so perfect to join up.

Holly of course is my Martha Stewart punch not sure what I will do if that breaks! The mittens are a Memory Box die that I cut out of the patterned paper and then with white so I could have fluffy edges.

Hopefully Mr Blogger is going to behave and publish this post tomorrow (Saturday) while I'm off scrapbooking at an all day crop (maybe a bit of craft shopping too).

Sunday I have to make a birthday card for my Gt nephew seeing as its December next week and I had it in my head I had another week to go. Luckily the image is coloured and should be dried enough to be posted on Monday for Tuesday. Then I shall write my Christmas cards to double check whether I going to have a mad dash of CAS cards filling up my blog.

Merry Kraft

I'm now on panic mode and I need some Christmas cards in pretty quick time. The colours I've used on these cards was inspired by Lin my team-mate on Simon Says Stamps.
First of all I confess to separating some of the Stitched Snowflakes from Simon Says Stamp I pretty sure I've read it from someone else's blog. I've only done this for the three smaller ones.
The scallop borders was made using the Stitched Scallop Border from Lawn Fawn and I been playing already with the Merry and Bright die from Simon Says Stamps
The stamped Christmas sentiment is from the Happy Christmas stamp set.

It was only right to use the left over Kraft snowflakes and I believe the design may have been a previous week CAS(e) this sketch.
No cardmaking today packing my bag for the crop tomorrow and usually I'm shattered once its done so I have to rest but sitting resting means I can continue to crochet my squares together. Although I will only be able to do this if Mr Postman brings me some more cream wool.

December Kit

Once again I've made some quick cards using the Simon Says Stamp December kit. I saw the the little deer and bird and wondered how I could use the paper and not cover up her up. So I didn't and just added a touch of red round the mat and some of the diagonal stripes behind that.  Then added the Merry and Bright using a new die from Simon Says Stamp.

There was a little strip left which also had a deer on, I couldn't throw it away so I made that into a tag.

Another quick card this time I used two of the papers from the kit, cut the presents strip from one sheet and the Christmas ones from another piece. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set that came with the kit and added some of self adhesive sequins that again came from the kit. Although there is a sticker with Do not open Until in the kit I used the one printed on one of the kit papers. A bit of Doodblebug twine job done and still have enough to make loads more cards.

I also made some quick tags using the stamp set, just stamped the parcel on little gift cards and quickly coloured parts of them in. Love the gifts of love sentiment perfect for little tags.

To be honest I think my card maybe a bit too busy but I wanted to show case Altenew Lacy Scrolls stamps.
First I had to cut the paper with the Simon Says Stamp Stitch Wavy Stitched Border then I masked it off so I could stamp up to the faux stitching.
Everything had been stamp as the second impress, I found the inkpad I was using was bit inky and it was bit dark.
To make the gold background I used the Brilliance Galaxy Gold inkpad and randomly stamped.
I then used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles to make my frame and added the Simon Says Stamps Thinking of you which I cut out of gold card.
Having realised that I needed another flower and leaves I stamped and cut them out, wish I worked out I was going to do that apparently they have matching dies.

I made another simpler but less stamping and used the Simon Says Stamps Diamonds stencil and lightly went over it with some ink even now I think I could have just left it white. I also stamped the verse from Its your Birthday from Simon Says Stamp.

So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

Branch or Leaves

Time for another challenge on Everybody Art Challenge this week is Branch or Leaves. I had previously coloured this Wee Stamps Snowman and I thought a branch was involved but I'm not sure the twig holding the lamp is enough.

So using the Memory Box Tree and Branch dies I kinda of made a tree which when I finished I added some Stickles for ice.

There was loads of tiny bits to layer though it was worth it. I also used the Memory Box Star dies to give the snowman somewhere to look but I cut these out of some glitter card. To finish I used the Martha Stewart Holly punch but I punched out two and cut one to make a three leaf Holly.

It was them my tree looked a bit bare so I coloured another robin and stuck him into the tree.

Do pop over to check out the team and hope you can join us this week.

Paper Piecing

I love this cute image from Saturated Canary that I brought recently in a bundle. The skirt of the dress is ideal if you are colouring with copics but I didn't much fancy it with it with pencils so I decided to paper piece it.

I should of got up and find the Christmas Doodlebug paper that has small pattern but was feeling far too lacy and decided to use this LOTV papers instead. After I made the card I found the holly paper that went with it but too late now.

The idea of using the image to hide the join was a card on Pinterest using one of those Prima Doll stamps you know the ones with no face. I managed to get over Tilda's without a mouth but I don't get the no faces at all. But the Saturday Canary are ideal to do this since they are quite tall images.

To decorate I just got my favourite Holly swirl from Cheery Lyn but I did chop it up. Then some Simon Says Stamp Poinsettia Parade which I love because of their size. The stitched wavy scallop die is also from Simon Says Stamp, original I just cut it out of white and then decided to cut it in the red and carefully fussy cut the border just above the faux stitching.

The sentiment added last but held my breath since everything was stuck down and I had to avoid the dress because of how it was 3d.

Yesterday I decided I need some really quick Christmas Cards by using Pinterest, they all ended in the bin apart from one. So I gave up and coloured some images instead.

Late but here now

Who didn't want to get out of the warm duvet this morning I obviously didn't put the thermostat up enough to keep the chill out. Also I've been avoiding taking the pictures of the 60th Album mainly because I'm not taking very good photos at the moment. Especially scrapbooking ones, I take them holding the camera so apart from Crooked Squares I have fuzzy pic with shaky hands.

They are getting even more simpler, since I feel I've been doing these pages most of the year but an all day crop on Saturday means I will get them finished or I'm not going home.

Snow Umbrella

Looks like I'm going to have to sort out the lighting but I've almost got a square card. My Hedgies are from a Transparent set I think its Jolly Critters.

The papers are LOTV from last year or even the year before and I was inspired by one of the Sweet Sunday Sketch from a week or two ago.

The icicle border is from MFT and is actual a grass die. I decided to have Holly from Martha Stewart punch and snowflakes a die from Simon Says Stamp and yes I did us fun foam. The snow on the umbrella is funflock and flowersoft.

The plan today is to get my sewing machine out to attempt to take up the hem on a couple of pairs of jeans. Thats if I remember how to use it but I've told myself it my job for today before making cards.

Gifts for You

I'm very lucky to have received December's Card Kit from Simon says Stamp but Mr Mojo is away at the moment, I think he hates Christmas.

So I was looking at the papers and I was lucky to have two pieces of paper with Joy to the World on.
When I decided that I would actually like the Joy part to be on a patterned paper.

I decided to use the Simon Says Stamp Kinley Snowflake using one the contrasting card that came in the kit and the Stitched Star is from the Stitched Bundle of Shapes. The stars and sequin are both from the kit.

This time I use one of the stickers from the stickers set along with the stars. Two very quick 4 inch cards with now stamping required.

It seemed a shame to waste the scraps and since at the moment I've started to think of Christmas tags. So using the fabulous sentiment that comes with the kits stamp set, I managed to make four tags. The twine is from Doodlebug.

I was quite impressed with myself using up all the paper on the two sheets and after playing for just over an hour I managed another couple of cards but I save them for another day.

Blog Hop

Time for a Blog Hop on Mo's Dream Team Blog.

I've been looking forward to this blog hop ever since Julie suggested the them White with other Colour. This little Winter Fairy has been waiting so long to make into a card.

I used a Scallop Frame which I angled on the card then trimmed the bits of the edge and use them in the corner spaces. Then it was a case of using all my favourite embellishments. The Floral Oval, lace and ribbon.

The Cheery Lyn Holly die since it doesn't use so many pearls as the Penny Black one I have. Simon Says Stamp Poinsettia Parade. I was going to use white pearls but discovered these small gems in the perfect colour.

The card did take a time to do mainly from waiting for the silicone glue to dry before using glossy accents and glamour dust was used to make ice. I then had to wait for that to be dry before using flower soft and fun flock for the shoes and part of the headband.

So you should have arrived to me from Julie and now you need to HOP SKIP and JUMP over to Vili's Blog.

Don't forget there are two $5 gift vouchers to spend in Mo's shop to be drawn from someones comments so make sure you comment on everyone in the blog hop posts.

I knew what My Favourite Things I wanted to use Mountain Range die (apologies the die is now out of stock) and the cute Pure Innocence Dashing By.
I decided to also use the Echo Park Hello Winter for the Mountains and for the Circle Frame using Simon Says Stamps Stitched Circle dies.

Now I had to work how to bring them together first of all I had to add some snow to the top of my mountains which was using the die again on white card and cut the tops in a wavy manner. Then of course I need to sort out the sky behind them and decide to use the Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow stencil but to emboss through my big shot.

I then used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Hills and Slopes to place in front of my mountains and making a space for the my Stitched Framed Image. I now needed a sentiment and it just so happened the Simon Says Stamp December Kit arrived in my craftroom and I used the Gifts of Love stamp set.

To finish I needed some Snowflakes so I used Simon Says Stamps Stitched Snowflakes, now you can see they look like ordinary small snowflakes but the paper you've cut out from has stitches of the shape of the snowflakes left so you can use the die two ways. I've also cut them out in fun foam it gives them great dimension.

So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting
