A Gingerbread House

I love colouring in this Gingerbread House from High Hopes I was imagining what sweets I was colouring in and its pefect for the Gingerbread Challenge on Everybody Art Challenge. The stamp from the last release from High Hopes.
The papers are from Papermania and Craft Creations, the trees are Marianne die run through the snowfall embossing folder. Oh yes the cherish border from Martha Stewart and a craftwork sentiment layered with stampin up punches.
Now for the fun part, I coloured the chocolate chimney with smarties, the door is a sponge finger and the bushes are York fruits and the stepping stones are the purple skittles that I don't like and always leave.
Don't forget to check out the DT and their gorgeous creations.

You're invited to A Party

A High Hopes sneak peek and a Party Challenge for High Hopes Challenge too.
Now you can see that really this cheeky monkey is for Valentine but I decided he is actually writing his party invitations but he will come in handy for Valentine too.
I've  paper are My Minds Eye and the MS heart punch had a outing too. The flowers are to match the ones on the pale green background but since I put the mats on you can't actually see them but they're rather fun.
Do pop over to see the other DT, they've sneak peeks to and have some amazing creations.
Well the visit to MIL is in jeopardy its possible according to the BBC weather we might get there but we might not get back so we're on a waiting game.
I've tidy the dinner room table because I going to have to move out of my craftroom temporarily.

XOX bears

I nearly forgot this sneak peek of the most amazing new release from High Hopes Stamps from Dustin Pike and Laurie Furnell and some are going to be firm favourites.
Now technically there are only two bears but I added one more cos three are better than two and after a lot of discussion with DD it was decided it should be xox and not oxo like I wanted.
Do pop over and see what gorgeous stuff the DT have created  and don't forget if you fancy some free stamps to join in and follow a few simple rules and it could be you.

Look out for tomorrow for some more sneak peeks.

Pink and Petulant

I have a friend who loves pink and she had the cheek to call me Petulant but they say it takes one to know one but when I saw this fabulous image from LOTV I knew I had to have it. It is perfect for my Petulant friend.
Just add a fab sketch from Bev on LOTV challenge and the job is almost done.
Honestly though I downloaded the papers from Sweet Shoppe Designs I think they're Zoe Pearns and very pink. I used the MS deep edge daisy punch for the borders and EK success flower punches in white to try and break down some of the pink. I glittered using stickles on her dress and her tirara. The sentiment is from LOTV too.

I woke up at some ridiculous o'clock and out of interest I checked the BBC weather, our nearest observation centre is Farnborough Hants which is where my Sis lives and it was saying the temp was -7, it may be a while before my little room warms up.

I'm planning to do what I did last year My Favourite Five Christmas Cards of 2010 and My Favourite Five Cards of 2010 and maybe have a random candy since I've duplicated a couple of slapstick stamps and I known for hoarding ribbon and flowers. But I need a blinkie or a fancy graphic for it but I don't have the patience and have no idea where to start can anyone help.

Tilda Bride and Bridesmaid

There's a gorgeous sketch from Donalda on Just Magnolia and I so wanted to have a go, but I trying to go through some scraps of pattern paper that I'm hoarding and wasn't sure if the paper I used to match the Magnolia image would work. Its only one piece of some Chatterbox paper but its double sided with one side plain.
I was so pleased it worked and with the help of MS Cherish which I gonna to have to apologies for using yet again. I use the punched border has a template and cut out the curved border so that I can used it has a mat under the border.
The fabulous sentiment if from LOTV, in a way I'm disappointed they're so big I can't use punches and have to actually use nesties but I think this is just because I'm so lazy and its much quicker to grab a punch it won't stop me from using them.
I planned to have day card making to try and get ahead especially has we're visiting MIL next weekend (hopefully if the snow doesn't stop us) and with Hubby working last night I thought I could work till late but I had to give up at 5 cos it was so cold in my room. The top half was warm but my feet were blocks of ice. One year I had to move out because of the cold but I don't want to just for a few days, but we will see how we go.

Monochrome Christmas

It's Monochrome Christmas on Penny Black Saturday Challenge and has you can see my main colour is purple.
I've used the snow embossing folder and the MS Cherish punch, I'm so sorry but I really can't stop using it. Love my quickutz corners too and there would have to be a bit of ribbon somewhere. It wouldn't be Christmas if there wasn't was snowflake and a MS one too.
Some pearls and glitter and the card is finished.
You must pop over the the PBSC blog there's amazing cards made by the DT and another tutorial by Debbi.

Little Miss Ellie

Isn't she cute this Ellie and Janet over on Pink Gem Designs is waiting for her to arrive from the Gem Factory hopefully on the 1st December.
I had to buy some download papers from Sweet Shoppe Designs so I could use the Pink and Black colours.
to match, they're having a Black Friday sale so now would be a great time to download some bargains.
I've used the woodware daisy punch and do I spy the Cherish MS border punch. I coloured the stars with a glitter pen but you can't see the sparkle in photos.
I used the sketch from Create4fun and to finish is a pink ribbon.
I'm suffering a bit today and Mr Mojo has fled the building, personally I think he's decided its far too cold and gone to warmer climates.

Blue and Red Bear

I did warn you that I've quite a few of James the Bear from LOTV coloured and waiting to be used. They just need some inspiration and a sketch, I found this Creatalicious Sketch from Lynne's blog and I think it works a treat.
Yes I know thats the MS Cherish border again and of course MS snowflakes. The round dots are my fake brads, I've used a 1/4inch circle punch and embossed them on the back to give them a bit of dome look and use a tiny bit of silicone glue behind them, to finish a sentiment peel off.
Well we are down to one very difficult person to buy for Christmas, now you might think we're well organised but we're visiting MIL next week and we need to have everything ready to take with us and while I'm doing that I might as well do it all.

A thank you to Barbara for the fabulous award and a Huge thank you to everyone who has been giving me awards lately. I planned to post a list of thank yous but I've mislaid the list, sorry.
Oh a Belated Happy Thanksgiving to all my US blog friends.

Scrumptious Ballerina

I love this LOTV ballerina and I've used the Truly Scrumptious sketch but I'm not sure I like the papers, guess I'm so used to using bright colours that the soft muted colours are not to my taste.
The papers are My Mind Eye and I've just realised not a border punch in sight.
Just a quickie for you today cos we off Christmas shopping today, last my DD tagged along which made it difficult to buy some presents for her but we just shopping locally.

A Penny Black WOYWW

So Whats On Your Work Desk Wednesday, I like to say I've a nice clean desk ready to play but it is just the small workspace I allow myself that is cleared.
Cos if you look to the left I'm collecting a mess on top of the desk tidy.

Ok its not too bad to the right but its starting to grow. Still haven't found my embossing helper thingy had to order another cos I want to use some white embossing powder and I know it sticks to anything. Couldn't get the pretty one, probably find it now.
I will leave you with a card this one is using this weeks Sketch Saturday sketch. The image is a sweet Penny Black one and I still haven't got the Cherish punch out of my system yet.

Skating let it snow

So today's a new challenge on Simon Says Stamps Challenge so I opened the SSS card folder on my PC to find my card, it wasnt' there and if it wasn't there I haven't loaded it to the DT blog ready for today either.
It was sitting in My Pictures waiting to be saved in the revelent folder, I'm so cross with myself since this is'nt the first time I've done this lately.
Anyway you all loved the Sparkle challenge, hope you're going to love this weeks challenge of Let it Snow. I used a Slapstick Penny Black stamp that I've had for ages but haven't used yet. The papers are Kaiser Christmas ones.
I love my icicle punch from MS and the MS snowflakes have worked hard this year. The sentiment is from a PB transparent set. Do pop over to Simon Says Stamps shop, they have a huge collection Penny Black and MS punches and if you're in the US at the moment its shipping free till Friday.
If need a bit of inspiration don't forget to check out the DT, there's some fabulous creations.
I've made next weeks card already so please someone remind me to load it to the DT blog!

Merry and Bright Snowman

We have Tanya one of our Guest Diva hosting the challenge and its a fabulous sketch to use for this weeks challenge on High Hopes Challenge
I've used the fab Snowman from the first release from Laurie Furnell for High Hopes. I love these bright papers from My Minds Eye and you can't have a snowman with out snowflakes with loads of glitter.
We've got some fab creations from all the Diva's to pop over to check them out and don't forget we would love you to join in.

Do you fancy some new stamps, well there's a new an amazing new release from High Hopes Stamps and if you follow some simple rules like grabbing the blinkie and be follower you could be in for a chance to win them.

Christmas shapes

So the challenge on Everybody Art Challenge  today is for Shapes and the round card was on my desk. It was made testing out that the Gypsy works and when I found out what the challenge is to be I decided to use it.
I have issues with round cards, I have a habit of making one side heavy and it tips ups.
So I had a plan, you can see that my PB snowman is level with the bottom of card and so is one of the trees and it works a treat no roly poly card.
The patterned paper is Basic Grey and the picket fence border is a MS punch and although you can't see it very well but the bottom are few layers of card. I've also used flower soft and fun flock for his bobble on his hat.
I do love it when something turns out better than you thought it would.
Now don't forget to check out the DT and I'll be back later with my High Hopes card.

Navy and White

Well here I am at some riduculous o'clock after a rotten night sleep, I've given up trying to get back to sleep and pretending this is my usual time of getting up. So first thing I pop a new card on my blog.
It's white and a colour on Just Magnolia, I couldn't find the new Tilda I wanted to use although I know she's in the box but I did find this one and thought she will do just as well. I thought for a change I would use dark blue for the colour.
I saw this embossing folder on Daily Marker and the moment Kathy said you could stamp inside the diamonds, that was it I wanted it, but I did have a job to find it and managed to get it off e-bay. Yet when I stamped some snowflakes I didn't like t. Now this could just be the blue on white that I didn't like so we will wait and see.
The sketch I've used is from Cute Card Thursday and any excuse to use my MS Cherish border.
No doubt in a couple of hours I'll be ready for a nap.

Another Bear

Yes I still have a few of James the LOTV bear coloured and waiting to be used so don't be surprised if you see him again soon.
This time I used this weeks Friday Sketchers sketch and promptly hid all the layers the of Kaiser papers with snowflakes, I just couldn't get them to work so I just kept adding another till maybe now I've too many.
But never mind thats another to my pile of Christmas Cards
By the time I finish using James the bear and a couple of other Christmas Images that are coloured I reckon my job is done on the Christmas Cards.
Its Scrapbuddies today and I plan to take some images to colour, I've had some unmounted rubber sent to me that have been crying out to be used but those pesky Christmas Cards kept getting in the way.
Oh and by the way I love Matt's vest on X factor, if only I was young again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PB Mice Choir

We have a fabulous sketch from Pauline this week on Penny Black Saturday Challenge, which is probably why I mistakenly made this card for last week challenge, well you know I love sketches.
I do love the PB Mice Choir even though it does take a bit of working out the layers. The papers are Cosmo Cricket not sure whats it called, only know it isn't mitten weather.
I've had my blending tool out to tone down the white cardstock and the flowers are EK sucess punches.
Once again Debbi has a tutorial for the colouring of her image and Letrasett have given us the pens she's used for a prize and the lovely Carole has offered a prize of a Slapstick You're the Bestest.
Check out the blog to see the fab DT cards they're all fab.

Time for Tea

Oh yes I've got my hands on the new LOTV stamps and all I needed was time to ez mount and colour them in. I decided on this little darling because my Sis reminded there were still a couple more Thank you cards to be made and this was perfect for the Cake lady.
I've used the Allsorts sketch and the papers are Graphic 45 which I have been stroking for about a year but now its been cut into you may see it again.
I've used a Leone-em stamen punch for the inside of the flowers, not sure why I used a bit of lace cos its well and truly hidden. I glittered the cupcakes, the flower in her hair and the blue stamens, bit of a cheat really its so I can enter the LOTV challenge this week for Glitter and Glitz challenge.
Its Scrapbuddies crop this Sunday, no idea at the moment what I'm going to do, I might take some images and pencils to do some colouring and I plan to sit and watch X factor (my guilty pleasure) Saturday whilst writing out some of my Christmas Cards especially for those who live a few thousand miles away.

Quick Penny Black Cards

So this couple of Christmas cards are the last two I made over the weekend. I used a couple of old Mojo Monday sketches. Both are Penny Black and I've kept them pretty simple. Those MS Cherish punches are still my favourites at the moment and luck for me the image is quite small to fit inside. The papers are Glitz and I know someone wanted to know the name, I've checked and its called Kringle flourish.

The papers are used on this Hedgie card are from Papermania and Craft Creations, again I've kept it simple.

A Jewel of a Santa

Some more fairy quick cards and I love this Santa. I first saw him a few years back at the Newbury Stamp Show where I was informed I have too many Christmas stamps so I didn't buy him. I've searched for him ever since especially when the stall hasn't been there since.
Then at Ally Pally Simply Friends stamps stall had him as a Blue Moon stamp and I didn't hesitate to buy him.
The blending tool and distress pads were working hard, I used stormy sky and Barndoor inkpads. The snowflake branch is from the Christmas flourish set from Inkadinkdo and yes the sentiments are peel offs, I have no problem using them for sentiments.

I've used two colourways, I love the richness of the red and gold but love the blue and silver is my favourite.
I do wonder whether I should of stamped the image in black so you can see it better.
Lucky for me the challenge on Spoonful of Sugar is for distressing and reckon these cards fit the bill.

WOYWW and couple of Bears

This is not a welcome sight this WOYWW morning, this is how I left my Craft room on Monday night and today I need to tidy it before I can do any crafting.
We didn't make it to Bluewater for Christmas shopping there were two accidents on the M25 so we went to Swindon Outlets and found the town centre but it was so cold. But we were lucky to buy quite a few presents.

I leave you with a couple of cards using the Fuss and Fancy challenge sketch, only thing is, its not particulary fancy, but they do go through normal post.

Gold and Red

Its a sparkle Challenge over on Simon Says Stamps Challenge and the DT are showcasing Heat Embossing and WOJ except me who had another Senior Moment and used a Tilda. Hopefully thats my third.
I think I may have gone a bit over board with the embossing and if anyone knows where my embossing pillow is can they let me know,I brought a fab one in its own little spotty bag but I've had every drawer out and not a sign of it.
Anyway back to the card I used a fab set from Inkadinkado called Winter Trails and of course Tilda from the new Christmas release both available from Simon Says Stamps.
I used a buttermilk gold embossing power that I've had for ages, I even tipped the edges of the Martha Stewart punched border as well has the main mat.
She does look better in real life.
Don't forget we have a great prize and pop over to the challenge blog to check out the fab creations the DT have made too.
