Triumphant Thursday

So pleased on Spoonful of Sugar, I can use these High Hopes stamps, they're so cute. I had use the ribbon strip on one of my LO's from last year after seeing on I think Traci Hudson blog, great way to use up scraps of ribbon. The papers are BG sultry I think, the cover has disappeared and I used prismcolour pencils, they do take a bit time to do but they are well worth it.

Not much happening here, its the lull before the storm, tomorrow the shed arrives and then we have to sort out all the junk round the house that belonged in the other sheds that have been pulled down and have a good dust and tidy in the spare room for MIL on Monday it will be interesting to see how much crafting I can do next week.

Whimsical Wednesday

Just as I thought I had finished with Christmas in July, Papertake Weekly challenge is for a Christmas card, so what could be better than to use my new PB stamp with Hedgie carol singing. I used the masking tecnique so I could have a trio but because I layered them I didn't need to bother because it would have hid the overlapping stamps. The papers are Dovecraft from last year and the sentiment stamp is from Stamps away from Clevercut. They do need glitterizing, but it get everywhere so I've decided to wait till I have few to do.

Its DS Birthday today and although on facebook he's put he was born in 1983 he is actually two years older. So Happy 27th Birthday David.

Tasteful Tuesday

I haven't joined the Penny Black Saturday challenge simply because I don't have too many of them and I'm never that please when I've coloured them in. But I've I managed to buy a few at the weekend, so I checked out the challenge "Down on the Farm" to find I had the ideal stamp already. I brought these sheep ages ago and the matching sentiment, the papers are DCWV.
This is Juggles from High Hopes Stamps, although I brought from them directly before with no problems, I ordered the stamps from Silly Monkeys especially since I've found out the PO sits on international mail for a week. I just knew what paper to use, its been sitting in its pad waiting for a stamp like this. I've used CPS #75 sketch for this, I did think of having the side panel to lift up for a hidden message but it was far too hot yesterday to experiment.

Muggy Monday

A card, to be honest Tilda was all coloured up and ready to go, so it was just a matter of putting everything together. The papers are from Craftwork cards and the sketch is from Sketch Saturday the sentiment is Francoise Read clear stamps from Woodware.
Look who posed for me when I was taking photos on Friday for Shimelle's Save the Day project. I had disturbed him/her then she flew back and was only a couple of feet away from me, if I didn't know better I would have said the robin was actually posing.

Awards

Sorry no card today as yet, but just want to thank properly to Marcea, Gisela, Charli, Zoe , Beth and Debbie for the fantastic award Wylde Women Award 1. You can give it to one or one hundred or any number in between - it's up to you. Make sure you link to their site in your post.

Newbury

Isn't she a little darling, I can see her being used quite a bit for Christmas, I used the Friday Sketcher sketch from Jaquueline. I've also used my new fiskars punch and the cuttlebug snowflake again, which I love putting the sentiment in the middle fits brilliantly and of course the stamp is Sweet Ebony from Funky Kits.
Sounds awful but was a bit disappointed with Newbury several favourite stalls weren't there but even so I did spend up. Lucky for me there was clearance box on Simply friends of Penny Black so I picked up a couple plus some new ones so hopefully I have enough to join in the Penny Black Challenge
Many thanks to Liz, Gisela, Charli and Zoe for the awards will sort it out tomorrow when I back at home, struggling a bit with Sis PC its on a go slow.
Janette has some blog candy but you have to be quick she's drawing it tomorrow

Growing

Growing is the challenge on Cute Card Thursday, maybe not cute but I thought the rose looks pretty. I've used a papermania pad and stamped the image on different colours and cut them some of them out to layer. I've used the cricut swirl to break up the plainess of the card.
Well my craft stash will be growing today with my visit to Newbury, you won't miss us, we're fairly noisy and I will be in a wheelchair pushed around by a couple of OAP.

Five Months

Yes crafters it's five months to Christmas and today is Rudolph day, see I remembered so here are two Christmas Cards and another waiting to be finished. They are both the new Sweet Ebony's from Funky Kits, the first card is another go at at the sketch on Spoonful of Sugar with the missing strip. I saw a card using these Daisy Bucket papers which reminded me that I still had a bit left and I still have enough for one more card. My old snowflake punches came out along with stamps away Christmas stamps and love my ribbons from Poppicraft at the mo. Only prob with this card no way will it go through the post on standard delivery.
Isn't he gorgeous and I know who will be receiving this one, someone who has just had a little boy. The large snowflake is a cuttlebug die and if you look close its embossed.
Tilda & Friends ATC challenge is for buttons and they plan to keep the next few weeks a bit easier to make life easier for Mums with children to join in and even for the small crafters to join in too. Can anyone tell me why I can't photo a ATC I've lost count how many times I've photo this ATC and this is the best one.

Plans for the weekend, Newbury Artstamps, the highlight of our year. Not only is it easy to park and its free, not only are the tickets cheap £3.50 on the door but it's full of craft stuff to buy so I shall be in my element not that I need anything! Back staying at Sis cos the boys are working late Saturday hopefully she doesn't lose internet again.

Piece of Sugar

Next time I will print the sketch out not roughly draw it like I have done for A spoonful of sugar sketch, which is by Katharina. There is a whole strip missing behind the front panel, only discovered after the card was stuck down. With us all going potty over the new Sweet Ebony stamps from Funky Kits poor Hamish and Maggie were being left out so has these two stamps haven't seen ink yet (how bad am I ) they finally got used yesterday. Along with the scraps of crate paper that I still have a bit left off.
Here's a close up of the couple, lots of layers especially on the Maggie, I should have done the bows on her shoes .

Warm Wednesday

Ismaki is taking a break over the Summer but lucky for me Katharina has done a fabulous sketch for the Papertake Weekly. Now if you have seen the new Sweet Ebony stamps you would realise that the Post Box is missing, simply because I fancied cutting her out. The papers are Crate papers and the swirl is from the Cricut Home Accents.

Now the next card was a bit of a double challenge, first while shopping in Dawn Biddy shop in May my DS picked this sheet and wanted his birthday card made with it. I wasn't convinced because all I could see what the shiny gold borders.
I apologise for the blurred letters, I've tried several times to photo this card because the letters aren't blurred but this was the best of the bunch. Has you can see the gold border was first to go and I used the CPS #74 sketch. I don't think its the best card I've done but I think it will do for DS birthday.

Bugs

It's going to be a proper sunny day or at least the weathermen are saying it is, we shall all wait with bated breath that summer may have arrived. So maybe we might see some butterflies but not as cute as the ones I've used for Tilda & Co challenge Bugs challenge, this card is for my SIL, I've used some doodlebug papers and of course Tilda dressed in her Sunday Best. Numbers and today are cut out on the cricut, and the little Happy Birthday is a peel off. The butterflies are a Magnolia stamp, stamped on vellum, embossed slightly and cut out.
Look what Fran and Marlene sent me, isn't this brilliant, thank you.
The rules of this award,

Renee's Tours

Scrapdolly is home for the school holidays and doing a Disney or Vacation Album prompt each week. I thought this would be brilliant for all the photos from Disney last year. Now the first prompt Dolly said that she does the intro page last, after she get the feel of the album but I decided that I would do an intro to explain why we went and then it would explain why its not a true Disney Visit Album.
Now the first pages are for planning and maybe itinerary, I'm finding Mini maps from Pagemaps ideal for some sketch inspiration, they give me a starting place. I'm already running a week behind.

I've now got to add something else to my list of Things not to do and that would be watching the Red Arrows they were brilliant yesterday, as they come over my sister's house you could almost see the pilots. If you have dodgy shoulders and neck don't crick you neck to watch, Sis recommends next time I lay on the lawn!

Sweet Sunday

Now this little gem is one of the new Sweet Ebony stamps, this time instead of watercolours I used my prisms. I used the Friday sketchers, sketch from Claudia, I knew what I wanted to do for the corner but it wouldn't work if you kept to the sketch so this is a mirror image of the sketch, yes I know its a bit of cheat. I used BG Euphoria and the swirl is from cricut cartridge.
Was having a lay in this morning but DS thought otherwise and rang us for some sympathy because he's head hurt but at least he survived the wedding.
Staying at my Sis because we went to celebrate Jan and Vic wedding, it was a lovely evening and today we shall be watching all the planes fly overhead in the garden because today, Sis house is on the flight plan of Farnborough Airshow.

Celebrations

I don't have many Penny Black stamps not even this one, it belongs to my Sis but I stamped a few images a while back. I seemed to have trouble colouring PB don't ask me why but I'm never happy with the finish result but in this case I'm quite pleased. The papers are pink paislee, they were on my desk after some scrapbooking I've done and I thought they would work well with the image. This card is for the Cute Card Thursday Animals only and I used one of Tiet's sketches that I found on her blog. The tickets are Autumn leaves stamps, funny really I admired them for ages on Andrea's cards then found out I already had them.

Tonight we off to celebrate Jan and Vic's wedding and also would like to wish Tall Dave (it's what DS calls him) and his intended (DS didn't tell me her name either) Congratulations on their Wedding Day and what on earth was he thinking making my DS Best Man.

TGIF

Another Sweet Ebony card, this is for a teen card on Papertake Weekly, she reminds me of my DD at about 15 going on 30 who didn't need to be told anything cos she knows. Found the handbag and shoes paper in a K&co pack, magnolia handbag and the words I found in my unmounted box when I was looking for small stamps to go in the spaces of the EZmount and the large flower from poppicrafts, small one is prima.
Now the ATC challenge on Tilda and friends has been choosen by Michelle who makes fabulous cards by the way, and it was for animal friends. I think it was the large Sugar Ebony bird house stamp which inspired me to put the magnolia cat in the tree, as the tree was a winter one with no leaves I used the stamp club leaves and of course the cute birds .

Wasn't sure I could make the CPS sketch work, so I doodle my own scallops and the swirls I used the cricut Home accents cartridge, the flowers out of stash and rub on words for wishes, then I went and spoiled it all by drawing a wonking swirl and I dare not try and alter it because I'm sure I will make it worst.

Yes my Sarah Kay have arrived and looking at all the post marks they have been on this side of water for a while and what is it about Postman that they leave parcel on the doorstep and don't knock on the door to let you know. If I hadn't seen the Postie with a brown padded envelope on the top of his pile which didn't fall through my letter box I would never of thought to open the door.

Sugar Nellie

Yes I do have some new stamps from Funky kits just as well as the Sarah Kay from the US are lost in the postal system somewhere. Now initial I was going to use this one for the teen card on Papertake weekly and although I think this one will work I'm going to use it for the Girl card challenge on A spoonful of sugar. Although its not obvious the hair and the little top has been layered to give a bit more dimension, I use silcone rather that sticky pads it allows me to lift and lower where I want to. I love her Amy Winehouse hair do and was tempted to give her black hair. Doodlebug papers, Hero Arts sentiment, cricut swirls and punched butterflies, oh I used watercolour pencils.
Also arrived from Donna at Crafty Krafts my prize, I fogot their was some stamps too, noticed too while getting the link she has the new Magnolias has well as Sarah Kay.
Now my team on UKS are doing the weekly challenge, scraplift a CD album, holiday theme and a material embellishment. I'm please how this turned out, once I decided on the album hunting through Amazon it was easy. Pics are of my nephew and great nephew in Spain and I used Francoise Read stamps for the boats and Magnolia fish that I won on the Tilda & friends ATC challenge blog. Here the album I used.

A card for Mum

Bit of a photo overload, I was only going to show a few photos to get the idea of what I've done but then I thought this my blog and I'm using it to record what and when I've made stuff so you get the lot.
The challenge on Ismaki is make this fold of card and although there is a sketch has well it sort of got left behind while I made everthing fit but I did try to keep to the idea. The card is going to be for my Mum for her birthday in a couple of weeks.
Found the words on Versalog it was in the catergory for Mother's Day the papers are DCWV and the corners are from the cutterbug, the swirls and letters are cut from the cricut. Stamps are Sweet Ebony from Funky Kits and Stamps Away. The ribbon is from Poppicrafts but they're closed at the moment till the 21st July.

And I love how some crafters finish the back as well and as its for my Mum and you can't get anymore special then that, again the circle words are stamps away but I found the made with love loose in a box so no idea where it came from.

Not much going on here, my MIL is coming down for the first week of August, she doesn't know it yet but we're taking her out to Crafts U Love and the Glitter Pot!
